Hello. Is anyone familiar with suppliers of External Hard Drives in the UK? Looking for portable HDD wholesalers if anyone knows of any. Not sure if I want branded or unbranded yet.

I have come across a few as I am also sourcing computer accessories. I have been dealing with the following:

Scan Computers International. They are distributors of a lot of major manufacturers like Toshiba and Verbatim. They also have clearance items and they label their hot sellers to give you an idea of what’s moving in the marketplace. They also list prices with or without VAT included.

Pixmania-Pro: Wholesale, supply and drop-shipment of high-tech equipment and home appliances . They carry brands like Freecom and Iomega with a pretty good selection. They have two interesting discount schemes you should look into on their website. One is for those who qualify with them as professional wholesalers and the other is for bulk purchases.

CCI Distribution, the Leading IT Peripheral Distributor is a trade-only supplier. They are distributors for some major brands. Not sure how big your buying power is but this is more of a big order distributor.

Something to consider when you are looking for branded or unbranded HDDs is if you go to the distributor directly to get big discounts, they usually have pretty large order requirements. However, you will likely be able to sell the branded items faster. The unbranded HDDs will be easier to source but perhaps not as easy to sell.
