In the past, this forum has been really helpful whenever I’ve had questions; so I’m hoping I can get what I’m looking for, again. Does anyone have a lead on a supplier for Gelert in the UK? I’m only looking for that brand, and I haven’t had any success so far. I’m hopeful that some of you really experienced chaps can point me in the right direction.

First, you should check directly with Gelert and ask about their requirements for an official stockist.

Ask to speak to a sales representative. It’s their job to help reseller’s like you. Find out what they require of new stockists: how often you have to order, how much, etc.

After that, see if they allow overstock or clearance items to go to wholesalers. Most brands will not deliver current season offerings to you unless you are a traditional retail store with a physical building. Online sellers will have more success with overstock and so forth. Then, you can contact those wholesalers they deal with – or, in the best case scenario, you can find out how to get access to that wholesale stock for yourself.

If this contact doesn’t lead anywhere, you could always contact their direct stockists (they list them all on their website) and find out if you can get a hold of their clearance goods.

However, in either case, you should be prepared to have to buy rather large quantities, and, in the case of buying from stockists, they most likely will offer you goods that are from several seasons past. There will be nothing new to offer. And there’s a good chance what you can get a hold of is out of season.

It’s worth calling around, though, because you never know what you can get if you don’t ask and make those contacts.

So, does that mean I won’t be able to find a wholesale supplier without going through Gelert?

What terms does the Camp Shop carry for wholesale orders?

I don’t remember them having an MOQ; however, they have free delivery on orders over £100 within the UK, which encourages customers to buy at least that much, but, as a result, you are also able to buy single units if you want samples.
