These are really helpful tips for sourcing!! As an experienced sourcing footworker, I have some further experiences to share with everyone.
Look around the wholesale makets as more as posilble, because every manufacturer would set a showroom(or shop) in the wholesale maket, so you can find the reliable product suppliers Ė not just searching on the Internet. Maybe you would say this is risen up of cost, but worth well. Hope these tips are also helpful, thanks!

I have dealt with buying products from China, and the initial experience was nerve-wracking. However once I'd developed a rapport with my supplier, I was much more comfortable, and was delivered exactly whatr I had ordered and paid for.

Wow, this is the first time I know what the foreign buyers think about our Chinese suppliers. I am the salesman of a small socks factory in China, and , general speaking , I do agree what mentioned here. But i still think some descriptions about Chinese suppliers and manufacturers are a little out of date. Everything is changing here, including people's mind, so lots of people begin to realize the importance of being honest and reliable and establishing long term business with customers. And people also begin to realize the chance online, so e-business is blooming in China. Of course there are some scammers here. However , when you are worried about scammers in China, we are worried scammers in your nation. Because, we do also have lot of tales to tell. Although we can't deny that people in Europe, America and other western countries are more reliable and trustworthy than people in India, Africa, and Middle east, there are still some scammers. Even so, in most cases, people are real businessmen, and really want to have a nice cooperation.

Would you like to hear a voice from China?

Well, Chinese directories always link to words like, cheap, low quality, imitate. Yes, I admit that some people are manufacturing products in this grade. But if you come to China once, you would be amazed. As China has its own advantages, it is not a wonder for us to make certain product at a low cost. So, cheap doesn't mean low quality sometimes. If you want to source high quality product from China, better find a trust-worthy factory or people and don't cut the price too low to expect triple profit from your country.

The buy and sell business aims win-win outcome. Who don't like money?

Hope you all could enjoy your sourcing from China! Good LuckÔľĀ

      sup?

hey mates, sorry to say that u guys may not see the development in China's business soucing.
I went back to China a month ago with degrees gained in two different countries( Manila Philippines and Birmingham UK). It took me 6 years time away from my country. During that time, I saw **** things happened. By the time I came back, I found out that many factories are now importing and exporting by themselves without agents or trading companies. One of the reason is that owners of the company started sending thier kids overseas years ago in order to give their next generations ability to brige Chinese market with rest of the world. Now kids like my age came back with second languages and life expierence in different countries. Most important thing is that they had to pass one of thier courses overseas to gain thier degrees--Business Ethic!
So when u guys come to find ur business sourcing in China, go directly t to the factories. Half of the chnace that u may find someone there in the factory were ur next door or with degrees from ur country! I just met my second year friends in Guangdong expo, and we did a good deal in business.
      hope u guys good business

      Charlie

China has to register with the Chinese government and obtain a unique company number. You should obtain your Chinese supplierís business registration number then verify the number with the Chinese government.
