Government and Police Auctions Stock - Best Auctioneers Lots to Buy

I recently heard from a chum that government and police auctions are a great spot to buy lots and stocks very cheap. I am wondering why this is true and what the best lots are to buy.

That is right. The government repossesses property all the time, including houses, cars and other motor vehicles.

The police often hold items in evidence, but then need to get rid of those items after they are no longer of any use. Therefore, auctioning these items off is the best way for the government and police to get rid of the items and make some money.

The best lots to buy are ones that have items with the best resale value. For example, lots full of clothing, textiles and household goods are not going to resell for as much as an electronics lot would.

The products you would want to buy at police auctions are:

      ● computers and computer equipment

      ● cell phones

      ● digital cameras

      ● gaming consoles

      ● TVs and DVD players

It never occurred to me until now that the police would have so many items to auction off.

Another question I have is if I am not interested in buying any of the lots at a police auction, what is the most profitable single item I could buy for resale?

If you do not want to buy any of the lots at a police auction, you can still buy repossessed property. You can often pay way below market prices on houses, cars and motor bikes at police auctions. Sometimes there are also farm and construction machines available for sale, such as tractors.

These are the best items to buy at these auctions because you can either keep them, or resell them for a much higher price and make a profit.

You really do not have to bring any money with you unless you are picky about only paying in cash. Otherwise, a cheque will usually do. That means, however, that you must make sure there is plenty of money in your bank account. If you do not pay for the lots or single items you won bids on, you could be in as much trouble with the police as the people whose items you are bidding on.

Remember, when you win a bid, it is considered a contract. Do not bid on any lots or items before you have made sure you have enough money to purchase it. Many auctions will let you test drive vehicles before you bid, so always take advantage of this service if it is offered.
