I’ve been looking high and low for a Gelert supplier in the USA. I’m interested particularly in camping gear. Are there any suppliers out there? I would really value some tips on direction. I feel like I’ve exhausted my resources.

You should probably contact Gelert directly. I’m pretty sure that they only source directly to authorized stockists, which is probably why you can’t find any. On top of that, I believe their market has been primarily in the UK and a bit in Europe as well. When you call, ask them about the process of becoming a stockist, which is what they call their suppliers.

I’d like to begin with anything camping related, like their rucksacs, tents, clothing, sleeping gear. Stuff like that. I know they are a quality company, and the goods they sell are top of the line. I think US consumers will appreciate that and I can draw people looking for high quality goods.

If you can attract a customer base for Gelert clothing, that is. How competitive is the camping gear industry? I mean, how are you going to market your products and draw loyal customers away from REI, Northface, and the like? If you have a solid plan in place, I think it’s worth a shot!

Of course, you would have to take shipping into account, obviously, and import charges. However, Gelert tents and rucksacs, even their cookware and furniture, could potentially fare pretty well. They are solid.
