Most resellers will require you to buy in bulk if you want to receive wholesale prices, and yeah, a $1000 minimum order sounds about par for the course. They typically won’t be able to make much of a profit otherwise, since the primary way they make any profit off wholesale prices is through volume.

However, if you don’t have a lot of buying power, you can search for light bulk offers. Light bulk wholesale is perfect for small businesses, and with it you can buy in smaller amounts and still get a price break.

Most light bulk wholesalers will sell you products valued under $500. Light bulk wholesale will also allow you to get cheaper items than with dropshipping, since light bulk doesn’t require the kind of handling costs, etc, incurred by dropshipping.

Light bulk is mostly a child of the Internet, with auction sites like eBay making home-based resell not only a viable business, but a multi-million dollar industry in its own right.

There are some steps you need to follow before buying light bulk wholesale products:

      1. Check out trusted wholesale directories for reliable bulk suppliers, and ask around this forum for suggestions. This is a great way to find light bulk wholesalers. This can also save you valuable time.

      2. Choose a light bulk wholesaler and check his reputation. Ask around WholesaleForum for other users who’ve used this particular wholesaler.

      a. While high-bulk business with the wholesaler in question will give you an idea of how he operates and his general reliability, you’ll benefit more if you specifically talk to users who’ve ordered in light bulk from him.

      3. The wholesaler will ship the products to you and you can store them at your place of business, warehouse, whatever. You are in charge of shipping the products to clients or customers; i.e. light bulk ain’t dropshipping.

      4. Create a website and a catalog. Make sure you ask for clear images of the products from the wholesaler to list on your website or catalog. There’s at least one thread on the forum that should help you out in that regard.

Most light bulk wholesalers will allow you to order various types of products. Part of the point of light bulk is to provide your clients with plenty of products and designs from which to choose.

This is also why light bulk wholesale is a great option for small businesses, but keep in mind the fact that you will have to pack and ship the products yourself.

In order to get the best deal with Free Shipping you will have to buy in bulk. However some services offer some smaller packages, and even Sample packs so you can try out a product before you go for it.

In general the only way to get a good wholesale price, is to buy in bulk. Wholesale companys make their profit through volume and as such require bulk buying to sell at a wholesale price. Normally the more you buy the cheaper the price.

If eBay doesn't work for you or you'd like alternative channels, check out TechLiquidators.com. We are Best Buy's liquidation site and feature a wide variety of quantities. So you can get varied products in small quantities at low prices (depending on the closing auction price, of course). There are many smaller resellers that make use of TechLiquidators in this way. Also, if you have your eyes set on a supplier whose minimum order volume you can't afford, dig around for local resellers and see if you can form a buyer group. Some smaller operations make due by purchasing in bulk with others in a similar product area. Just proceed cautiously and make sure to protect yourself by getting the arrangement in writing.

It is always advisable to buy in bulk if you want to enjoy the benefits of wholesale prices.. As, it gives you an advantage to purchase more at minimal cost..
