Art & Craft and Hobby suppliers US - Paper, wood and scrapbook crafts

I am trying to find a wholesaler. I have a small craft business and need to start purchasing items wholesale, but I am unsure how to go about it. I am able to find wholesale sites on the computer but seem to be unable to search for the specific items that I am interested in.

Do I need to contact all these wholesalers direct and ask them for specific items, or is there a way that I can just search and see the different styles and varieties that are available?

      Hi Cavitychaser,

      Welcome to Wholesale Forum

You should be able to search a wholesaler's product range by "keyword" on their website using their search box (usually at the top right of a website). If a wholesale supplier does not give you the option to search their website from a search box, then the wholesaler should offer a catalog listing all their products. In the last case, you should indeed contact the wholesaler to get information on ordering that catalog. The wholesaler might ask you to open an account with them before you are able to see their catalog and pricing. To open an account with a wholesaler you will first be required to demonstrate you are a registered reseller; in your case that means having a valid US Tax ID.

Have a look at the following wholesale Arts & Crafts and Hobby supplies, we have indicated where you can find their search box on their websites:

      - Wood Craft Products - Wooden Shaker Pegs, Balls, Wood Toy Wheels This is a wholesale supplier of wood crafts. Their search box can be found top right under "My Account | Shopping Cart | Checkout "
      - Brandine Crafts Wholesale craft supplies. You can find their green search box to the right of the screen "Quick search"

Consider that suppliers who offer a catalog and require validation tend to be used by fewer sellers, which means less competition for you. Therefore that extra effort can pay off. They also tend to supply higher quality products because they rely on a range for an entire season.

If you want to get a firsthand look at the suppliers products then you should consider visiting the 2012 Winter Conference & Trade Show in the Anaheim Convention Center. This trade show is organized by the Craft & Hobby Association and will be held from January 29th till February 1st 2012. For more information go to 2012 Winter Conference & Trade Show
