Professional Product Photos for my Website - How to Create Profecional Pictures

I have had an eBay account for a while and have always used graphic images for my product photos. However, I have a website now and want to start making professional product photos for both eBay and my website, but I don't know how to do this.

It is very important to have good pictures of the products you are offering. The clearer the pictures are, the easier it will be for potential customers to identify with the product. Likewise, a clean background and proper lighting will make the product stand out. Customers will be attracted to buying it.

You can easily set up a small do-it-yourself studio to take these photo shots. Primarily, you will need a good camera. These have a higher price, but, well worth the buy because of the quality photos they produce. And you will use it over and over again.

I do have a good camera, but do not know how to set up an appropriate studio. The lighting is always off.

Soft, even light is what you want your photos to have. All you need to set up a small studio is a white tissue paper or tracing paper and a cardboard box. This works especially well for small items.

      1. Cut out squares on the sides of the cardboard box almost as big as the box itself.
      2. Tape the tissue paper or tracing paper over the cut out openings.
      3. Place the product inside the box.
      4. Place proper lighting around the outside of the box and use the camera zoom to capture the photo. You could use a bright light or work light; anything that provides a constant stream of light.

I have also heard that there is a machine that will take the picture of your product for you and make it look professional. It is a type of studio-in-one.

I think you are talking about the Photosimile 5000, invented by Ortery. This device is in the shape pf a small microwave. It uses a Canon SLR camera and an installed software system to take photos for you. You use your mouse to control all the studio settings and change your preferences.

Visit the website to read more about the device and view sample work. Contact them to order this machine.
