Probably best to build your own site, starting with something small. I cut my teeth 10 years ago in a similar way with my own site. Having worked simultaneously with eBay to generate sales, I'd suggest that you need to have your own web presence if you want to give your business any long term future.

      Goodluck with the sales.

I would like to agree with the quotation I made above. It's a business, and you have to test the water first. You may try starting free website, then get your own domain once there are valuable results.

Website is just like a book. you need contents, without contents it's nothing. So you have to find out your area of interest. Once you create a website it’s a never ending process. So find your interest and convert it into a website.

      Good luck.

If you have less number of products then you use shopify or bigcommerce to create a website. Both of these sites work on monthly fees and give very simple interface to customise your website. After some point of time if you get a lot of traffic then you have to make sure to move th website to your own servers. You can use Magento Free Edition, OsCommerce, Drupal, Joomla or Wordpress to create a shopping site.
