Is auto blogging an effective online marketing technique?
Has anyone else ever heard of autoblogging? It seems like a neat way of setting up a blog with little-to-no maintenance. Im just wondering if it is an effective online marketing technique for a product or service?

Autoblogging is definitely an effective marketing technique; it aggregates facts from different websites to basically write a blog entry for you. The goal is to draw a lot of web attention to your blog, place advertisements on it, and make money. Here are some tips about how to make money by autoblogging:
1. You want your autoblog to appear first on any search engine, so change your permalink. This is usually a long, tedious one that search engines don’t like to display.
2. Use a sitemap plug-in. This will allow search engines to navigate your blog more easily as it looks for keywords. Update it frequently. When you are done updating, always send it to search engine webmasters.
3. Have a Tag Cloud Widget, which groups the most frequent words used on all pages of your blog in one place. You know those “clouds” of different-sized words on a lot of sites these days? That’s the tag cloud. This will help search engines find you.
4. Use primary keywords in the title and tagline.
5. Get unique content. This would seem impossible since you are already pulling from different sites, but there are plug-ins you can get that will make your content look unique to search engines.Want To Be An eBay Powerseller? This is the Service You Need.

How do you get started autoblogging? I suppose you would need some sort of software.

You can buy autoblogging software from a company such as blogblueprint. It has received good reviews, with people saying the traffic to their business’s site is terrific.
If you want to do it yourself, you will have to be computer savvy; as noted above, there are a lot of plug-ins you will need to install. Basically, you will set up a normal blog and then add the plug-ins.
For example, the plug-in Caffeinated Content pulls a certain number of articles about a specific subject during a certain time period. Then it stores this information in another plug-in, Wordpress, which writes the articles from the information supplied by Caffeinated Content.
Another must-have plug-in is SEO Smartlinks. This nifty program links the related pages on a blog, making it much more attractive to search engines.
You can use a variety of plug-ins depending on what you want your autoblog to look and sound like. My best tips would be to research these plug-ins on your own and decide which ones fit best for your product or service needs.

Of course, your best bet would be to find a niche, do lots of research, then create a white hat SEO blog that contains original content, and not just content frankensteined from hundreds of other people who are either pulling the same mess you pull from, or who actually work for their money.
Black Hat techniques ruin the party for us all, so just get to work making your own viable income without taking from others.
