How to reach out to independent retailers?

      Hi there,

I'm new to the site and run a small clothing line of T-shirts that I'd like to expand. I retail some of my items locally to gain traction but my business strategy was to reach out to independent retailers of apparel with wholesale orders of shirts not less than 200 per order.

I have had some success online with wholesaling but can't seem to crack the shops around me.

my website for the designs is: wwwthefunkyrobot.com

If anyone has any advice on what is the best way to position myself as the clothing brand that deals primarily in wholesale, I would very much appreciate it.

      Hi Nick,

      Welcome to Wholesale Forum

You should first set up a website under your own domain name, and optimize it for your target keywords. You can use the Google Keyword Tool to identify the keywords that are relevant to your sector:

Here is a sample keywords list related to your market:

      funky t shirts for men
      funky t shirts for women
      funky t shirts women
      funky t shirts uk
      kids funky t shirts
      funky t shirts for kids
      mens funky t shirts
      womens funky t shirts
      funky t shirts for boys
      funky t shirts online
      girls funky t shirts
      funky t shirts for girls
      cheap funky t shirts
      cool funky t shirts

Because you are interested in engaging with retailers, make sure you add the prefix wholesale, drop shipping (if you offer it), distribution, etc to the above keywords in your page titles and page descriptions. Search engines will pick up on it and rank you accordingly.

Alternatively you can register on trusted wholesale directories with a low fraud incidence.
