The only reason I use them is that I can bundle all my packages together from several stores. This saves me from having to pay for several shipments.
Well, in my case, I have posted on several sites warning people of bongo's unreliableness not because I am a competitor, but because I am royally pissed that I paid them good money for CRAP service! When they screw up, all they do is say they are "sorry". They don't try to make things right. That is unacceptable. I paid good money, and I expect things to be right, and if mistakes are made, I expect them to be MADE right! Otherwise, give me my money back! Bongo sucks! I wouldn't trust them with anything of value. I won't lie. I have developed an intense hatred for the company, both for the screw-ups and the non-action of them being rectified. Do yourself a favor and look into another package forwarding service!

A few things to know about Bongo International:

      • They provide you with a US shipping address so that stores who only ship to the US will deliver to you (this includes Apple, Best Buy, Target and more).
      • Bongo allows you to bundle items for shipment to decrease cost
      • Provide a help log/instant chat instead of email service
      • Does not cover custom duties/taxes
      • Among some of the most expensive shipping charges

There have been a lot of users unhappy with their Bongo services. A google search for reviews will pull up all that negativity for you.

Remember though that one person’s use doesn’t reflect the company as a whole.

I would suggest contacting them ahead of time and seeing how their customer service is. If you are satisfied with that part then go ahead and ship something and give it a test.

You don’t have to register with them, but if you do it is $15 a month and you get discounts on shipping.
Yes. I agree. They "do" have their problems. They are TERRIBLE and are prone to screw ups and won't make things right!

I bought two pairs of shoes through BongoUS and have been overcharged for shipping.

I queried the shipping quote before by shipment was sent because it seemed a little high ($160 for two pairs of shoes from the US to Australia). They told me the box was 15x11x11 inches and this is what they used to calculate their shipping fee.

When the box arrived it was half the size: 13x11x9 inches, which should have cost about $90 (based on their own shipping calculator).

I have complained and the keep promising me that management will get back to me 'tomorrow'. I've been trying to get a response for 2 months.

I guess that's how they make their money - by double-charging for shipping and then refusing to deal with complaints.

      Bongo was ok

I used their service in March 2013 .. here is what I found .... they make it sound like a mail forwarding service .. but no , they will ship your package by the most expensive service available .. so in my case the products I had bought with free shipping within the states turned into a $100.00 dollar shipping charge to get to Canada .. OK I figured I have to pay if I want what I bought .. For Bongo's part of the shipping ,, very fast .. 2 days the package had traveled across the US , cleared customs and was in the hands of DHL courier service in Edmonton Alberta .. Thats where the service ended , after another 5 days I finally started calling to complain .. and within a day it arrived ... will I use bongo again .. nope .. will I use DHL again .. not a chance

I've used Bongo for around 10 months. There were a couple of missing packages. Once however they burnt a packet and did not inform till I asked them to ship it out. The seller wouldn't refund either because it was delayed. Twice my shipment included some stuff belonging to someone else.

However the worst part was that I left some inventory (worth $250) accidentally behind beyond 60 days. when I included that in my next shipment they informed that the items were purged because I had exceeded the 60 day limit. There was no warning or intimation. Just "purged". I couldn't believe it.

When I contacted the customer service team they said I had signed their agreement which said they had the right to sell the stuff after 60 days. I personally think most of the missing items and "purged" goods are kept by the Bongo employees. Otherwise there would at least be a warning or notice. They must like the stuff they keep.
