How can I verify a Dutch business is actually registered?
I have found a Dutch supplier who I'm interested in and I want to find out if they are actually registered in the Netherlands. Is there a company registry for Holland?

Hi Adrienne,
Welcome to Wholesale Forum
You can use the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK - Kamer van Koophandel) to verify if a dutch company is in fact registered in the Netherlands. You can use their KvK search page to look up Dutch company numbers and registered company names. The search page is only available in Dutch, but you can use Google Translate to make sense of it.
You can also register with the KvK to receive updates about companies you are following. Or you can choose to pay for a single request for more information about a Dutch registered company.
Any Dutch company should be registered as one of the following legal forms (In English with the Dutch translation):
There are two types of legal form:
Legal forms which do not involve legal liability:- Sole trader --> Eenmanszaak
- General Partnership --> Vennootschap Onder Firma (VOF)
- Limited partnership --> Commanditaire Vennootschap (CV)
- Partnership --> Maatschap
- Limited liability private company --> Besloten Vennootschap (BV)
- Association --> Vereniging
- Foundation --> Stichting
If you are having trouble verifying a supplier, please note you can post a new review request at Wholesale & Dropshipping Reviews - Wholesale Forum and we will provide you with a full company review. You can also choose to send us the suppliers' details in private by sending us a private message

The information can be obtained from the Dutch Company Register (Trade Register). There are also some companies that specialize in obtaining these records, for instance The Dutch Company Register.
