Thread: How To Spot A Fake Prada

The shirts vary but are all of good quality. Quality btw is a very misused term – it is subjective to say the least. A fake Prada may be very good quality for a person buying it for 5 dollars on a street shop fully aware that it is a fake. As long as there is a satisfied buyer, I would say quality has been maintained.
A lot of these brands have a special affordable line that has very different manufacturing standards.

In any case, please be sure to report such suppliers. At the very least, give out their name in some popular forums so that they don’t end up cheating someone else.

You may want to talk it over with the supplier once, as regards, the fake Prada delivery. Many of these guys are as clueless as the next and they may not know that it is a fake. So make it your responsibility to ensure that your supplier also knows how to spot a fake Prada.
In fact there is one other way to check – see what other brands the guy keeps – Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry are great in the `faked’ industry while the others are not. If he stocks only these, chances are that, he is dealing in fakes.

I think you should always ask for references or at the very least samples when starting out with a new supplier.

I’m very new to this trade. I was just so delighted to find supplier for a brand like Prada that I did not feel comfortable asking too many questions.

You mentioned that you have other suppliers. How about just mentioning the new one in front of them? Guys in the business know about each other especially who does what to profit. If he deals in fakes, at least one of them will be sure to let you know one way or another.

Don't kid yourself. If anything, you pay through the nose for the brand name. Uniformity and consistent quality are things that a small shop can concentrate on and pull off. Prada is too big for that. They have been for quite awhile now. Their quality guidelines may be the industry standard, but when you have workers of varying skill levels spread out around the globe, certain aspects of the line are going to get "lost in translation" so to speak.
