I�ve come across some ads for a wholesale company called Phonetec Ltd., like this one over here for a Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3. The prices don�t seem all that unlikely, around a 35% mark up. Low, but not what I�d call suspiciously so. I�ve checked out some reviews online, and they mostly look like this one HERE. It�s in all caps, and is nearly incomprehensible. Not inspiring, and pretty suspicious. Anyone have any insight on them?

I�ve not had personal experience with PhoneTec Ltd., but just looking at the ad, most genuine electronics dealers don�t have such jumbled, near-illegible copy. The English is shoddy at best, embarrassing at worst for a UK-based company. The ad itself, with the PhoneTec Ltd. life story and, seemingly, every product they carry in an unbroken chunk of text dump. That�s just unprofessional. Nobody... pardon, not many people are going to look at that ad and say, �I need to get me some of that!�

Also, while the prices aren�t all that unexpected, the products they�re selling are a bit sketchy. I see a lot of �unlocked� phones. Jailbreaking phones is gray market activity, and the fact that the majority of their business is selling them doesn�t say good things about our friends at Phonetec Ltd.

On the other hand, I went to the Companies House Web check site and found

They are in fact a genuine, UK-registered company. I still don�t think I could in good conscience recommend you dealing with them.
