Just started a business *need help*

      Hello everyone!

I'm Rick, and this is my first post here on the boards and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone, make friends and also listen to the great advice you all have to offer. After seeing how friendly everyone is as well as helpful, I had no choice but to sign up!

So here's what I'm dealing with: I just started a distribution company and I wanted to know what's the best direction I can take it in? My idea was to call local businesses like, restaurants, bakery's, furniture stores and just dropship them items from a manufacturer. Would that work and how exactly is the process done?

Secondly, I found this web site, Wholesale Deals UK - Wholesalers, Dropshippers, Importers & Distributors Database | Home | from here. What am I suppose to do with it and how can I use it to my advantage?

I know, I'm new to all this but I'm a fast learner and a very eager listener! So I'd appreciate your advice.

If I am reading this correctly it sounds like you want to be a supplier (Middle Man). Correct? If so, building your company's reputation is a must. Also, share your company's website information with as many drop shipping companies as you can. This will help to get you some customers. Also, always remember that social media sites are your friend when starting a new business.

      Jason, thanks for your response!

I was hoping you can go into further detail. What do you mean by, "share your company's website information with as many drop shipping companies as you can." How will telling drop shipping companies about my business help me?

And yes, I do want to be a middle man. I want to bring retail stores the products that the manufacturers make. Example: supply a bakery with flour from a manufacturer.

Also how can I use that website to make money? Thank you so much for your help Jason.

      Your very welcome

What I mean is do a Google search of sites that supply drop shipping companies to their customers. This will help to get your company out their.

I'm not sure if I am allowed to post links yet but some sites that you may want to consider would be:

      Wholesale Dropshippers Directory
Drop Ship, Dropship Company, Wholesale Dropship Products, Dropshipping Supplier

      Hope this helps
