Placed a 30% deposit on furniture goods, then a shipping price change!
Placed an order for furniture with "freeroom furniture Ltd" in China. They gave me a quote, and I wired the 30% deposit. When my order was complete a month later, they increased the shipping costs by almost 3 times! Now they refuse a refund, and have been stalling for months on products my deposit could cover. Now the emails have stopped. Any suggestions? Very frustrating!

Hi Area,
I share your disappointment.
Even with legitimate suppliers in china it’s often hard to get refunds in these situations. One thing you could do is to play by their rules and wait for the products to arrive. When you have received and checked the products you send them an email explaining that you are going to report them publicly for what they have done to you if they do not refund the overcharge.Over 150,000 Verified Sources + Deals 95% Off MSRP + Free Website!WholesaleForum

Find a local agent to negotiate with them....I do believe that if the order is finished, they would also want to finish this deal with you to get the balance money.

How about asking them to deduct all shipping fees and then you find a forwarder to pick up the goods from them and ship the goods. You then control the shipping cost yourself.

Hi,
The last one is some good advice.
In this case, it's best to ask them to refund any shipping fees charged and use a forwarding company to ship the goods. The freight rates for the US have indeed gone up recently, but definitely not 3 times.IMEX Sourcing Services
