      Hi Nathan,

Have a look at the following UK suppliers of computer monitors:To find the best verified UK and global wholesale suppliers of computer monitors, we recommend using the three largest online trade directories of verified suppliers:All three list tens of thousands of verified wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers and drop shippers. Have a look at the following results:

UK Suppliers of Computer MonitorsEU and other International Suppliers of Computer Monitors Three factors used to measure the performance of computer monitors are display size, display aspect ratio and display resolution. Until 2003, most computer monitors had a 4:3 aspect ratio and some had 5:4. Between 2003 and 2006, monitors with 16:9 and mostly 16:10 (8:5) aspect ratios became commonly available. In 2010 the computer industry started to move over from 16:10 to 16:9 because 16:9 was chosen by the cinema industry and it's cheaper to manufacture.

The resolution for computer monitors has increased over time from 320x200 during the early 1980s, to 800x600 during the late 1990s. Since 2009, the most commonly sold resolution for computer monitors is 1920x1080. Top-end consumer products are limited to 2560x1600 at 30 in (76 cm). Apple launched 2880x1800 with a Retina MacBook Pro at 15 in (38 cm) on June 12th, 2012.

Additional features that most modern monitors include are power saving, integrated accessories, glossy screen, curved designs, directional screen, 3d capability and touch screen.

In the fourth quarter of 2013, 31.7 million units of computer monitors were shipped. LED backlight technology continues to increase, with an 87.3% market share. Screen size of 21.x-inches wide has held the largest worldwide share for the last five quarters, with 20.7% share. Aspect Ratio 16:9 continues to dominate with about 78% market share, which is more than five times the second most widely used aspect ratio of 16:10. Monitors with TV tuners had a 5.4% share in 2013, led by LG and Samsung with a combined market share of 96%. Dell continued to be the number 1 ranked vendor in 4Q13 with a worldwide market share of 14.2% on shipments of 5.0 million units, followed by HP with a share of 26.7%. Samsung remained third in unit shipments worldwide, with 12.0% share. LG was at 4th position reaching a market share of 9.8% and Lenovo with 8.6% share grabbed the 5th position.

In the first quarter 2014, worldwide computer monitor shipments totaled nearly 33.7 million units. LED backlight adoption continues to increase with a new high of 92% market share, this represents a year-on-year increase of 16.4%. 21.x-inches wide screen sizes have held the largest worldwide share for the last six quarters, with 20.5% share in 1Q14. Aspect ratio of 16:9 monitor goes on dominating with a 81.3 % market share in this quarter. Dell remained on 1 position in 1Q14 with a worldwide market share of 14.9% on shipments of 5.0 million units. Japan and Western Europe delivered the biggest gains for Dell with 32.4% and 14.7% quarter-over-quarter growth respectively. Samsung has also maintained 2nd position in terms of total units shipped and the top position in terms of total revenue with $1.11 billion in 1Q14. Their revenue represents a 18.4% share in total market value. HP holds the 3rd position worldwide. Followed by LG and Lenovo with 3.5 million and 2 million units shipped.

Three screen resolution formats make up 48% of the total world market: 1366x768 has a 26.67% market share, 1024x768 gets 9.87%, 1280x800 has 8.89%, and 1920x1080 has 8.73%. They are followed by other high resolution formats with lesser although significant market shares in the first quarter of 2014.

At CES 2014, Asus, Seiki, Dell and Lenovo unveiled their models of 4K monitors. Nvidia has also announced that it will launch a series of PC monitors with embedded G-Sync chip sets specifically designed to enhance gaming visuals and performance. Apple is also ready to launch its retina iMac at the end of this year.
