      Tag Lines - Effective Company Branding

      Hi all,

      I was wondering.. What's everyone's opinion on having a tag line for their company/brand?

      Do you think they are a necessity or just something its nice to have?

      I'm trying to create a tag line for my wholesale company just now, I think its probably necessary because in business (including wholesale) its very important to let potential clients/customers know exactly what you do and how you can benefit them, and a tag line seems like a very effective way to do this.

      All opinions welcome.

      I think tag line is integral for businesses that deal with common public.. For wholesale companies i thinks it doesn't make much difference.. Just my opinion..

      A tagline is an important part of branding. It can be your best brand communication tool, if done right. However, you don’t need a tagline to have a successful brand. Some great brands such as Google and Zappos don’t use a tagline.

      Good taglines perform three important functions for your brand:

      They cut through marketing clutter and communicate your brand promise in a sticky, memorable way.
      They are an accountability tool in that they remind you of your own brand promise.
      They are the customers’ indicator of a future experience

      Tagline is the recognition of a company or brand. Evey business brand have a perfect tag line that suits to their business. The tagline of Wholesale Forum "Where resellers gather to discuss and profit: is the very much suitable tag line.

      A tagline is very important when doing retail, but not so important in a B2B environment. If you are a wholeseller, the best bet is to have low prices, great quality and provide samples.
