Social Networking for Business – Posting Customer Reviews
When promoting your wholesale supply or dropshipping business, don’t forget to deploy your sales pitch on social network sites. We all use these sites, so there is no learning curve here. You start by persuading friends to buy stuff and then graduate to selling to strangers online by adding them on your friends list, following their updates, and becoming a member of various communities. FaceBook allows users to generate their own ads. Be aware of the use of social networks – they offer a more informal setting for selling stuff and they are free to use.

Facebook and Twitter are the best social networking sites for small businesses, particularly businesses run from home. I currently have 1000 followers on Twitter and 600 plus on Facebook and 20% of them are regular customers. The rest are prospects who keenly watch for updates on stocks and inventory and I am working hard at converting at least 50% of them. I am glad I stumbled on the use of social networks for marketing purposes!

Amberdy, FB and Twitter are certainly the best social network sites for promoting your trade and products. But I have recently joined a few more social networking sites and they are not bad…they have a niche audience and I don’t have to sift through thousands of profiles to find ready audience. LinkedIn for example is a site meant for professionals and you can post your profile, find business contacts, and even upload reviews of your business.

The first thing to do would be to build your own website, with testimonials or reviews from customers. I have often found that a link to your website allows you flexibility in use of social networks, otherwise you need to post maybe dozens of reviews on all SN accounts.

If your social network audience is the impatient kind who will not bother to visit your site, you can post reviews directly on your profile page and add a link to your website. I have built up a good business relationship with my regular customers and they have an online presence on my Facebook and Twitter page, besides LinkedIn. They post great reviews on my wall and that of course helps me find more good customers.

Gillian, you can also start your own facebook group. Invite regular customers to join. If you are good at online advertising, you will soon have many new members. You can then post reviews about your business or links to your website or business profile.

I have my own group on FB and I use it to send newsletters to members. I update them on new products, special offers, and invite them to read testimonials on my business website or profile page.

There is so much we can get out of the use of social networks, besides finding new friends or posting party pictures LOL. Next time you go FaceBooking, do add a few reviews or links to your site on your profile page.
