Thread: Facebook Vs Twitter

Though I’m a big Twitter fan but I think using Facebook social ads is a great way to reach your prospects. As you can target social ads to a specific group depending on their age, gender, location, qualification or profession, the ROI on advertising through them is high.

It allows you to integrate Facebook with your website. You could even check what your friends are doing – what websites they are accessing, what they are commenting on and so on. This information could be quite valuable for you in planning and developing your advertisement campaign.

Facebook Connect allows you to connect your Facebook account with third party websites. Facebook has the highest traffic after Google and therefore think the amount of traffic a website could get by connecting through Facebook. You could even link your own website with Facebook and do whatever you do on Facebook on you own website. You could send notifications and comment on posts through your website.

I'm going to have to go with Facebook on this one. The advertising per geographical area is the selling point for me. If I have an operating business in North America and Europe, and I want to expand into Asia, I like having the option of advertising only in Asia. If it's applicable to advertise the new area within one of the old areas, I can do that also. The more options a business has, the better.

I would have to go with facebook too because it allows so much more interaction between you and your fans. As someone said you can have discussion boards, videos, and post events that are relevant to your business. You can also comment on what your fans are saying about your products, answer questions etc.

I say if you have time do both but...I like Facebook better just because as some others have said it's more interactive then twitter is. You can even post videos of product demonstrations and what not. That's pretty cool!

I definitely agree with using both of them if you have the time to update them regualrly I mean essentially it's free advertising no reason not to use it. If you only have the time to keep up with one though I would definitely go with Facebook since it's so much more interactive.

I use both, and I prefer Facebook as you can do more with it, like polls, videos and albums. And it's easier to interact with people.
With twitter, because of the word limit, sometimes I have to cut my message especially if I'm posting a link.

22 Apr 2013 07:20 PM #30I feel that both have strong pros & cons; to take full advantage of what they have to offer is to play to each of their strengths. Facebook is continuing to grow as an advertising avenue, with potentially a more personal and longer reach than that of twitter in my opinion however.
