Can I make my blog more user friendly?
I started my blog a few months ago and put content on it weekly, but can’t seem to boost the visitor rate.
What are some ways I can improve the popularity of my blog? Are there things I can do that don’t cost money?
Hoping to get my blog ranked in search engines. My website already does but not the blog.Over 150,000 Verified Sources + Deals 95% Off MSRP + Free Website!

There are several things you can do to increase the popularity of a blog.
If your website is ranked, try moving the blog to a sub-domain. It has a better chance of being indexed and picked up by Google Bot.
• Improve content – make it fresh, daily
• Give away freebies/run contests
• Interact with other bloggers
• Use guest bloggers
• Quality links
• Keep each post written in a human voice
The content is what really brings people and keeps people to your site. When you post, let people know it – email, facebook, blast, etc.
Make sure the keywords are used correctly and that the blog is visually pleasing, i.e. pictures, videos, graphics, charts.Want To Be An eBay Powerseller? This is the Service You Need.

Blogging is a community just like any other social media platform. Make it a part of your website if you want it associated with the business.
Make sure that people can relate to the writer (which I’m guessing is you). You don’t have to reveal everything about your life, but reaching out on a personal level is a way to connect with the reader.
Also –
• Get your Tag content right
• Discuss topics that normally don’t get that much attention
• Participate in related forums and blogs and make a constructive contribution

Do you write your content? How is it posted? Are there pictures on the page? Have you identified the main Keywords?
All of those things matter if you want to be popular. There are millions of blogs if not more on the web. You have to make your blog stand out.
Talk about what’s going on, but don’t always talk about what everyone else is discussing.

I write my blog posts though sometimes it’s really hard for me to get posts up each week.
I use photos. Some are stock though. Don’t use any video.

You don’t have to publish each day (it’s certainly a good goal) but you do need to be publishing weekly at the minimum.
If you want the site to get noticed there simply has to be fresh content. Try going on blogs similar to yours and get a conversation going. You can then give them a link to your site.
Promoting the blog is good because it gets people there. However you need to give them a reason to stay. Creative SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ) content is the answer.

Hi, I was running into this same issue not too long ago. I revamped how my site looked (a little redesign) and things were better.
My videos showed up where people could see them and I was allowed to run larger pictures.

I am working on a new publishing schedule and hiring a writer to help me with the quota.
Haven’t thought about doing a design change. Should I change to wordpress or something like that? I’m on blogger right now.

The design is important. The content is important. How you interact with readers is important.
There isn’t just one quick fix and all of a sudden, you have the most popular blog of all times. You are going to have to invest months of hard work if not years. Some are lucky and can gain a following quickly while others take a little longer to catch on.
Don’t beat yourself up. Just review your content and see how you can make it better.
