When are Non Disclosure Agreements needed? Who drafts NDAs?

I know that some companies out there may need some and others may not, but if you are riding the line and unsure, is it always best to have one "just in case"? And who exactly draws up a company NDA, a lawyer?

Yes it is best to ask a lawyer to draft an NDA, he/she will be able to account for all considerations and eventualities that are specific to your circumstances.

Some law firms offer standardized NDA agreements, which are drawn up once and then sold as templates for businesses who are looking to save on legal costs, or for those contexts where a standard agreement will be sufficient.

There is a detailed explanation on NDAs, when they are needed, and what they should include at Non-disclosure agreement - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are many other sources of information on NDAs available online but you do need to be careful. Some NDAs are so wordy and filled with legalisms that the other company will need a lawyer to understand what they are signing-and that can turn them off. You don't want to lose their business just because they are put off by your NDA.

On the other hand an overly simple one will leave too many potential loopholes and may be equally off putting. If you want to save money it's best to draft one yourself, so that you know that what is important to your business is included, and then have a lawyer look it over to make sure there are no loopholes.

Hello if you search NDA online you will find lots of examples of non disclosure agreements, I made myself one from many examples I found on the internet and deleted or added as my common sense told me
