Resolving disputes about damaged and missing goods

I have just started trading and bought a few lots from a couple of online sites, one being UK Liquidation, I have had a couple of good deliveries but the latest is another story...

I am in the process of trying to resolve a dispute with these people, without much succes at the moment. I had 2 lots delivered, not big values, but still too big to lose. They were delivered and found to be virtually useless. I understand the nature and risk of returns but it does state in the T & C that items are repairable. Mine are beyond any repair and 20% of the total items were missing, I have been offered 25 compensation on an order value of around 160 - I do not think this is very fair, but do not know how to take it any further and in fact , whether I have a leg to stand on , does anyone have any advice on this.

      Thanks

      Hi Fifi,

      Again welcome to Wholesale Forum

On another note, are you 100% sure that no one can repair the goods? If it can be proven that someone with the right experience is capable of repairing the goods, you may find that litigation is not the best course of action. If there is anyone, anywhere, capable of repairing the goods, you might be better off trying to sell the lot in bulk to them, even if at a loss, and move on. Unfortunately, as you said, some returns lots are hit and miss. It's a cost you should account for in your business plan.
