Importing Electronics and Video Games to India
Hello,
Does anyone have any experience of importing to India from Europe or Asia (Japan, China/Hk, Singapore)?
We're looking to base the majority of our supply chain in India, but for harder to source products, we'll need to go overseas.
Thanks for any advice!

- Licensing
- Required Documents
- Import Procedures
- Taxes/Tariffs
To read more about these requirements when importing into India, have a look at the following link from the US Department of the Treasury: TTBGov India
For video games you should contact the main publishers of video games to get information about their authorized distributors in your area. Have a look at the following video games distributor fro publishers like Activision, Vivendi Universal Games and the Valve Corporation:
- The Official Website of Cyber Games Solution Pvt. Ltd. - VALVe's India Representative. - Home
Remember that when you use any other suppliers of video games that the games you import should be adapted for PAL regions, both Asia and most European countries use PAL.
Also try contacting the global media and entertainment company UTV Software Communications Ltd. which released their first game on the Tokyo Game Show in 2010. Have a look at the following link to read more about the company: UTV Games Content
