Import and Export Business Newbie - Looking for Tips on Sample Products
I'v recently started a business in import export and need advice on samples. If a potential buyer is asking for samples then how much amount should I send and what should be the product charges? Shall I charge only shipping cost?
Any advice would be appreciated.Over 150,000 Verified Sources + Deals 95% Off MSRP + Free Website!

07 Sep 2013 07:12 AM #2Exporters quickly learn that many people ask for samples in the hope of getting freebies. Others are time wasters and dreamers. On the other hand, having taught hundreds of people how to import I know that there are also many genuine people looking for products to import.
You need to differentiate between these different people. If their first approach involves a request for a sample, it is probably best to charge for the sample and for the freight. If the approach is gradual, and the inquiry is genuinely businesslike, you may decide to supply a free sample if the cost is not great, and charge only for the freight.
Whatever approach you choose, you should not be tempted to make a profit on the freight. Freight costs are not cheap, and if you burden them with a higher than necessary freight charge that will discourage them from dealing with you.Want To Be An eBay Powerseller? This is the Service You Need.To learn safe overseas sourcing and how to buy small (or large) quantities at best prices see→ http://provenchinasourcing.comLearn to find genuine manufacturers and negotiate small orders at prices way below what wholesalers charge. You will find that many freight forwarding companies have built-in freight calculator on their website. This is to make it easier for customers to have an estimate charge of their LCL or FCL transaction.
If you want free, quick and reliable freight forwarding quote, my advise is to visit Loch M Fraser. Key-in the dimensions of your container and its designated point of destination.
You will be surprised how easy we make it for you.
Cheers!
