      You have the right idea when you are considering suppliers in the US as well as overseas. With the current state of the US$ many local manufacturers are quite competitive and they generally do so with better quality products. You will notice that I mention manufacturers, because if you go to US wholesalers or dropshippers you will rarely find one who supplies at prices that would make you really competitive.

      I also suggest that you might consider a number of countries as potential sources, because low cost manufacturing shifts from one country to another.
