Where can I sell my Closeout Inventory - Getting Rid of Liquidation Stock

I am closing several of my stores and trying to get ride of my inventory. I thought I was doing great until an order I placed several months ago arrived and now I have 2000 mens dress shirts and 2000 ties to sell fast.

Where is a good place to sell these as a wholesale lot or in bulk. Some people have suggested eBay, but I don't picture many buyers purchasing wholesale lots on this site.

      Any Suggestions?

      Hi Finedressedman,

      Welcome to Wholesale Forum

Many wholesale lots are sold on eBay due to the number of start ups using it. It's a fairly good, cost effective option to obtain a good price for your closeouts. Also try craigslist: houston classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events.

You should also consider selling single items retail to gain more profits for your stock, more time consuming but if you sell on online discount outlets you can clear your closeouts fairly quickly. You could even find someone in your circle of friends and family to take care of this process for you, or sell them yourself.

Listed below are two more effective ways of selling your closeout stock:
      • Contact your competitors to see if they are interested.
      • Place an add in a local newspaper.
If you need to get rid of your stock as fast as possible, even if that means selling at cost or a loss, then you should consider selling to a wholesale liquidator. They specialize in trading closeout, clearance and surplus overstock lots. Have a look at the following liquidation marketplace for surplus overstocks:To find many verified US wholesale liquidators of surplus and overstock lots to offer your stock for sale, we recommend using the two largest online trade directories of verified wholesale suppliers eSources and Worldwide Brands. Both list thousands of verified wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers and drop shippers.

Yeah you can sell wholesale lots on eBay or you can use liquidation sites to sell the stock. Many people sell their stock via this method only and that's their whole business model.
