Here is what I like about ebid.

      • The fees are lower than ebay by almost half.

      • This also lowers the cost to get a small business started.

      • I like the layout too, it is more user friendly than ebay in my opinion.

Here is what I do not like about ebid.

      • It is all sellers and not enough buyers.

      • It simply does not generate the traffic that ebay does.

I think ebid’s layout is too confusing to navigate through. Ebid is getting there but it does not even come close to the volume that ebay generates in traffic. This is why ebay’s higher fees are worth it. You need to pay more to get that much exposure.

I agree with you on most of those points. But what I like about ebid is there are more bargains, I think ebay is so popular that it is no longer a secondary marketplace for good deals. It is more of a regular, primary marketplace. Ebid I think has better deals for deal hunters.

I see what you are saying but you will also notice that because there are fewer buyers, none of the auctions at ebid start at 99 cents, they start at a higher price. This is because the seller is never sure if the bids will certainly run up to a worthy price for them. Their start price is often sufficient for their end price. Whereas on ebay you get 99 cent auctions on popular items which starts a bidding war which is always good for the seller.
