Ordering a sample from a Chinese supplier - Is JCEX a cheap China freight forwarder?

Has anyone every heard of JCEX? I have a supplier in China who said they would be the cheapest to use to send me some samples.

      Hi Ultra,

      Welcome to Wholesale Forum

Jcex.com is a freight forwarder used by many Chinese suppliers to ship orders overseas. Other companies used regularly for China exports are EMS & DHL. Whether JCEX is the cheapest solution depends on what kind of deal your supplier has with the company. Suppliers will often receive discounts when they exceed a certain amount of shipments in a set period of time. The supplier may also be able to quote a better price than JCEX if you contacted them to arrange just a single shipment.

You should get a quote directly from JCEX, from your supplier and from a shipments aggregator to verify that your supplier is providing you the best price. Once you have a quote from JCEX for your shipment, you can also consider approaching other companies like EMS and DHL to find out if you can obtain a better price for the shipment of your sample order. Have a look at the following thread to find a long list of shipping couriers by country from which you can get a quote for you sample order:And the following link is to a directory of worldwide freight forwarders:Hope this helps

What are the rates involved, it's easier enough to do comparisons with other companies. If you compare 3 companies you'll get a rough figure on what you should pay.

However as I've dealt with many freight forwarders before I know that their fees are usually not excessive, they only get a small cut and the bulk of it goes to the shipping company and other costs such as port charges and other landing costs.

For small orders or samples. There are many ways of shipping from China:

      1. DHL (faster and expensive. It will be cheaper if you can find an shipping agent do it for you. There are thousands of those companies in China.)
      2. DHL Global Mail (Cheap and faster than China post air mail)
      3. Register China Post Air Mail (The cheapest way. but 15~20 days to Canada)
      4. EMS (this one is better of Russia and Brazil countries. as custom clearance reason)
