How long does it take to get dropshipped orders from China?

I am considering dropshipping some goods from China but I am a bit concerned about how long it will take for delivery? Anyone familiar with the typical time for dropship delivery from China?

Air delivery within 4 days by DHL has been the best I have ever experienced. From China to the UK using Hong Kong Post can be as low as 7 days but is usually more like 10 to 12 days.

The first distinction can be made by whether it is shipped by air or land. Air mail typically takes less than 2 weeks. Surface mail, or mail by land may take 3 to 6 to sometimes 8 weeks, which is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

You should ask the dropshipping company what type of carrier they will be using and who it will be. Then you want to ask them about typical delivery times.

The next thing you want to ask for is a tracking number when your order is placed by the customer. This way you can track yourself the movement of the package and communicate with the buyer if need be. In the worst case, if the package never arrives and you have a tracking number you can figure out where it is.

      Hi,

There is a strong co-relation between shipping method and value of product. DHL Makes sense for high value products as DHL is safe, quick and EXPENSIVE. However, for cheaper products most dropshippers here use either EMS (China'sgovt postal service - super slow, hence not very popular), small private couriers and HK Post (Goods are first sent to HK and then routed to UK, due to good connectivity between HK and UK. Hope this helps.

It depends on your city and delivery mode. DHL / UPS/ Fedex is within 3~6 days while EMS within 6~10 days. If your package is less than 2kg, you can choose Hk post, which will take about 10~ 16 days.

You can choose the different shipping method according to your package value and your time.
