      What you need is a trusted native chinese translator to work with you, helping you understand not only how people do business in China but also the culture and mentality. I have been working for an American based in Eugene Oregon who sources products from China for over 8 years now, and I'm still helping my employers understand the way Chinese people think everyday. If you need any help in translation and sourcing or even tour guiding, I will be more than happy to offer you my services as a free lancer.

      You are doing a right way, friend. Before you source sth from oversea countries, the risk analyze and risk management plan are really necessary. Only in 2009-2011, in a Chinese famous B-B website, 2326 foreign buyers were cheated or scammed by Chinese suppliers who are the golden members on the website.

      There are some Main risks of Sourcing from China:
      1. Scam: there are many scammers in China, from these years, the scammers have started to entry International Trading area, they use different scam ways to earn money;
      2. Quality: most chinese exporting factories started their oversea market only from 20 years ago, they stil don't understand western quality requirements very well, you may meet the quality problems not only in product itself, also can be happen in packaging, even code printing, loading way, etc;
      3. unstable pricing: the production costs in China are always raising up these years, so the exporting suppiler always want to make higher prices, for a small client, they will control the pricing item, because they don't mind if you still make order or not, but for the client, it's big risk;
      4. payment item: most of the chinese exporter will only accept T/T, the oversea buyers have to pay everything before the container arrive the final port, that will take a big risk for the buyers;
      5. service after sale: when you open your container, you find that there are many mistakes of the products, what you can do then? you can ask the suppiler pay back your lost, even they can, but you will probably delay the delivery time for your local market, even lose the market.

      there are many risks, i just make few samples here.

      but if we are an authorized agent of a China brand and import into USA, is that a problem?

      Find legit suppliers is the first step of your success business. As a member of sourcing agent in China, we know that in China, almost every province or city has their own pillar industries. For example, Liuyang city is called the ‘Home of Fireworks’ ,Liuyang-made fireworks account for 86% of China market and 60% of world market at present. This is the same case to other products in China, say, foshan for furniture, yongkang for hardware and Wenzhou for zippers, belts, shoes etc.
      You can also trust us to find your reliable suppliers.

      To find legitimate suppliers, just seeing the suppliers' company document or Customs registration certificate. They show all information to you.
