      Taxes for Wholesale

We are a company in Australia that has a subsidiary in U.S., we are planning to ship our products to a warehouse in U.S., From the warehouse, we will be distributing our product to our clients in U.S. and our subsidiary. All of the shipment will be wholesale.

My questions are do our parent company needs to pay any taxes? if not, then do we need to register a tax ID?

      Hi Sam,

      Welcome to Wholesale Forum

Are the goods being shipped from Australia to the U.S. in bulk?

We have understood that the goods are first shipped in bulk to your U.S. warehouse, and then from your U.S. warehouse to the end user (ie individual orders are never shipped from your export country directly to the end user in the U.S.).

Once we have this information we will be able to advise you.

      Thank you for your reply,

Yes the goods are shipped to U.S. in bulk and your understanding is correct. individual orders are never shipped from your export country directly to the end user in the U.S.

      Thanks,
      Sam
