      Used car wholesalers in UK

Good morning, mates! Just posting to see if anyone can assist me in finding a UK wholesaler of used cars/secondhand vehicles.

My search for a wholesaler has fallen short.

I am looking for used cars in the UK; compact, sedan, cabriolets and, of course, sport utility vehicles

As a trader I understand that we all like to protect our sources and donít want to just give away wholesaler information to the first person who asks for it; however I know that this forum is very helpful in finding suppliers so I figured I would take a shot.

Thanks in advance, everyone, and I look forward to reviewing your suggestions.

It can be difficult to find a used car wholesaler in the UK without crossing paths with a used car salesman. Your best route is to go to car auctions, here is a list of car auctioneers and resources:

      - Welcome to the UK and Europe's largest vehicle auction company
      - Manheim Remarketing | Welcome
      - Cars, Bicycles, Motorcycles & Vehicles Auction Houses, Auctioneers and Auctions - eSources.co.uk
      - Scotland car auctions and van auctions
      - Central Car Auctions - Home

There are auctions held monthly – sometimes weekly - that sell cheap used cars.

And here is a list of sites where you can check used cars retail prices:

      Lookers.co.uk

o Carries range of models including Lexus, Land Rover, SAAB, Chevrolet
o Locations in Wales and England you can visit

      Motors.co.uk

o Over 140,000 used cars listed

      Cargiant.co.uk

o Different auto models including executive, estate and coupes
      o Growing customer base

      Autotrader.co.uk

o Reputable website that has good customer support for both buyer and seller
o Can search by mileage, age, model, color

There are also a number of used car price calculators available online, here are a few:

      - Free Car Valuation | Used Car Prices Guide and Valuations - Parker's
      - Free Used Car Valuations - What Car?
      - Free Car Valuation at What's My Car Worth?
      - Car Valuations | Value My Second Hand Car Online | Auto Trader

My advice is that, while used cars valuation tools are useful (they are generally based on the http://www.glass.co.uk/ valuation), you will soon realise that valuations are only as good as what buyers are willing to spend. Specialise in selling a specific brand or car type at first, to grow your knowledge of the market. Then you will find that it will be a lot easier for you to identify the real bargains and make a profit. Also don't be too greedy, the general rule is to accept the first offer you get if it is within reason, you never know when the following offer will come and you can reinvest your profit quicker into buying more used cars to resell.

You never know if an automobile trader company will cut you a deal until you ask,

Autoquake.com allows different sellers to post cars for sale, and you can look through their inventory to see if something catches your eye.

There is a supplier in Hove that is good to deal with. I like to do business face to face so try to deal with suppliers close by or at least in within a feasible traveling distance.

Buyyourcar.co.uk is located in East Sussex, so it’s not terribly far, unless you’re on the other side of the country.

Even if it does not play out you can at least consider it good research.
