Legit men's and women's designer clothing wholesale contacts needed

Hi guys this is my first post,

I have been trawling through the internet for a while now and find it hard to come by a legit designer clothing wholesale contact. I'll tell you a lil about me, I am from Plymouth, in the finishing stages of my website that is very professional and I have plenty of capital to make an established presence on the net, Now here is the question... do you guys know any genuine wholesale contacts, if you sell designer clothing yourselves or know of any companies please drop me a line as i hope to do business with you.

I am after all men's and women's leading brands, looking for constant suppliers no jokers please !

Hope 2011 brings you all success !

      Happy new year

      Hi,

Welcome to Wholesale Forum and Happy 2011!

      Two important questions:

      1. What is your starting budget?

      2. Which brands are you looking to source?

The answers to the above questions will determine where and from what type of supplier you should be sourcing your stock.

      Hi Mart,

      Welcome to Wholesale Forum

What is your UK company name?

We realize your garments must be styled by designers, however from experience we can say that most resellers looking for designer clothing are mainly interested in known designer brands, to reduce their marketing costs.

Does your brand adhere to a social or music movement?

Brands i am after are: Penguin Munsingwear Firetrap Denham Fila Vintage Two Stoned Fred Perry Voi Replay Ralph Lauren Divine Trash T Shirts Gio Goi Superdry Bench Henleys Levis Edwin Paul Smith Etienne Ozeki Calvin Ted Baker Napapijri Vivienne Westwood Havaianas Franklin Marshall Belstaff Jackets Hackett 80s Casuals UCLA Baracuta Amplified Zanerobe C P Company Stone Island Henri Lloyd Evisu D & G Nicholas Deakins Ringspun J Lindeberg Affliction Pepe Goliath Trainers Humor Gabicci Puma Alexander Mcqueen MA Strum Massimo Osti Timberland Boots Shoes Footwear Puma Archive Retro Trainers Superga Superdry Penfield Boxfresh Freesoul Pearly King Red Wing Sergio Tacchini Ed Hardy Christian Audigier Drunknmunky Old Glory (OG 5) Pringle Victorinox Full Circle.

I have a few wholesales already but i feel some brands they offer are limited, mainly i wish to stock rare leading brand apparel than you average cardboard cut out gear.

      Hi again,

40,000 is a good budget, however not large enough to order directly from all those brands. You will need to order from surplus stockists, or narrow down the range of brands you'll be selling. Also some brands will require exclusivity, meaning that they will not allow you to stock their brand if you are also selling one of their directly competing brands.

There is the added factor that you are selling online. If you want to be an authorized retailer for any of the major brands, you will be required to offer their products at their suggested retail prices, or you risk having your agreement with the brand revoked.

This is why ordering from surplus stockists is your best sourcing option. You could also contact retailers and offer to buy their overstocks / end of season surplus in bulk.

Your list of brands is very long, it would be impractical to list suppliers for all those brands under one thread. However you are welcome to post one separate thread for each one of the brands you have mentioned, and it will be researched in depth and individually for you.

In general terms, a brand's best sources are located in the brand's country of origin. For example, Ted Baker is best sourced from the UK, Levis from the US, Franklin Marshall from Italy, Evisu from Japan, and so on. In most cases this strategy works, in other cases you want to source the brand from those countries where it's most popular, or from those countries that the brand is trying to break into. If you post a separate thread for each brand we will offer some specific guidance.
